About Your Dentist

Dr. Herock is a life-long resident of Hampton Township. After completing his education and subsequent residency in New Jersey, he moved back home in 1992 to establish his own dental practice. His primary goal was to provide quality dental care while working closely with the major insurance carriers in the Pittsburgh market. His start up practice, which began with servicing family and friends, has treated over 13,000 patients since its inception.

Committed to Excellence

In 2010, the dental practice of Michael J. Herock became incorporated under the name Certus Dental Care, LLC. The word "certus" is the Latin word for "reliable," and Dr. Herock felt this name was a good match for the goals that he has established for his practice.

Personal Life

Dr. Herock lives in Hampton Township with his wife and four children. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his kids and supporting them in their various activities.

After graduating high school, she received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh and received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2009. After graduation, she attended a one-year general practice residency at UPMC Montefiore’s Hospital.   

Dr. Lopez is a compassionate dentist with almost 15 years of comprehensive dental care experience. She has a proven ability to perform a wide range of procedures, including oral surgery, CEREC crowns, crowns and bridges, removable prosthetics, Invisalign, pinhole technique, guided implant placement, TMJ treatment, teeth whitening, veneers, and endodontics. She is dedicated to patient education and building strong patient relationships to ensure a positive dental experience.

Dr. Lopez loves that as a dentist, it is a lifelong learning commitment. She has received postgraduate training in endodontics, crown and bridge, oral surgery, and socket preservation and grafting. She has also trained and gained certification in treating adults and teens with Invisalign. She is also certified in treating gum recession with The Pinhole Surgical Technique as taught by Dr. Chao. Dr. Lopez is also currently enrolled and receiving extensive implant placement and restorative training through the Resnik Implant Institute.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Lopez is a native of San Diego, California. She has four children, ages 8 and 6, and a pair of 2-year-old twins. She resides in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, with her husband of 12 years. She has always wanted to be a dentist and considers herself very fortunate to be in this profession. She has dedicated her time and talent to treating people without access to dental care through numerous dental mission trips abroad, including trips to Honduras, Belize, and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Lopez loves spending her free time with her children and husband outside the office. They love to bike ride, play tennis, roller skate, and travel. Most recently, they took surfing lessons on their last trip to San Diego at La Jolla Beach. There are only so many things you won't catch Dr. Lopez doing!
